DAAN TROOST October 16, 1932 – November 30, 2017
Born in the Netherlands, Daan immigrated to this country to attend M.I.T. Soon after he married Morven Donald, a Scot, who was working here. A long time member of the St Andrews Society, he volunteered at the Maine Highland Games and Scottish Festival for many years, He was also an active Scottish Country dancer and a support for his wife and her Scottish shop helping at the many Festivals she attended.
PRISCILLA M SLIPP October 10, 1921 – December 6, 2017
“Mae” led a very full life in many ways with a wide variety of interests. With her love of music she was often seen at Celtic music concerts.
KEITH MILLER 1942-2017
Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa, Keith was a member of the St Andrews Society of Maine. He loved the Scottish heritage, attended many Scottish games, and was a drummer in the Dunlap band for a time. He loved the bagpipes, played many instruments and loved the music. Married for 25 years, he and his wife Darlene lived in Freeport.
DORIS MUNROE SMALL August 20, 1916 – April 30, 2017
A member of the St Andrews Society of Maine she was also an avid genealogist. She contributed her time as a genealogist for Clan Munroe Association USA and she and her husband published a family genealogy “Munroe Family”
